Do I Need An Appointment?
Mustard Seed purchases items by appointment only. Appointments can be made in advance online.

What Kind of Clothing Do You Take?
We are interested in men's and women's contemporary casual clothing and accessories such as shoes, handbags, belts and hats. Items should be in good condition (i.e. no stains, holes, or pilling) and less than two years old. We also buy vintage clothes and accessories. The vintage clothes we accept are generally at least 20 years old - dated from the late 1960's through the early 1980's.
We do not accept the following types of clothing:
Children's, maternity wear, plus sizes, wedding gowns, tuxedos or formal business suits.
How Should I Bring My Clothing to the Store?
We prefer clothing be brought to us neatly folded in shopping bags, not on hangers. Items do not have to be ironed or dry cleaned, but they should be clean and free of holes and stains.
If you have lots of new items with tags, receipts are always appreciated. We also ask that you bring receipts for any high-end luxury items.
How Many Items Can I Bring In At One Time?
You can bring up to 25 items per visit.
How Do You Decide What to Sell My Clothing For?
We use the following guidelines to determine the resale value of your clothing: style, size, age and original cost.
What Sizes Do You Want?
We look for average size men's and women's clothing, women's pant sizes 0-12 and men's pant sizes 28 - 38.
Do You Take Donations?
No. However, there are several locations nearby to drop off unwanted clothing.
How Much Do I Get Paid?
You receive half of the retail price. For example, if we decide to price a shirt at $10.00 you get $5.00.
Does Clothing Have to Be in Season?
Yes. Please bring spring and summer clothing after March 1st, and fall and winter clothing beginning September 1st.
When Do I Get Paid?
You will be paid on the spot for anything we decide to buy.
What If I Need To Cancel My Appointment? You can cancel your appointment up to 2 hours before the time that it is scheduled without penalty. If you miss an appointment without notifying us at least two hours beforehand you will be charged a $10 fee which will be applied to your next appointment.
To change or cancel your appointment, please go to our website www.mustardseedshop.com and click on appointments. Type your email address in the 'login' box at the top right corner of the page and scroll past FAQs to the bottom. There you will find your existing appointment as well as a box to cancel. We cannot take calls to schedule, change or cancel appointments as we are busy buying clothes throughout the day. The system does not allow you to log in to change or cancel your appointment within 2 hours of your scheduled time.
